George Michael has been involved in a car accident on Friday. His silver Land Rover was in a collision with a truck on the A34 near Newbury, Berkshire. No-one was hurt in the accident. George was taken to a nearby police station where he was questioned on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs. He failed no drink nor drugs test and George was not charged.
MTV on Tuesday announced its nominations for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards show. George Michael's 'Freedom '90' clip is in the running for 'Best Video That Should Have Won A Moonman' at this 26th annual award show. This new category has been introduced this year by the organizers for videos that were overlooked at previous MTV ceremonies. George Michael is one of ten nominees competing in this category.
